It was further agreed that individuals engaged in philanthropic work in the Netherlands will be honored with appreciation certificates jointly issued by PPHF and the Embassy of Pakistan, ensuring formal recognition of their services. The Ambassador added:
“Overseas Pakistanis are a valuable national asset. Even while living abroad, they remain deeply committed to serving their homeland and community. It is the responsibility of the Government of Pakistan to acknowledge and encourage their contributions.”
“Lighting Your Share of the Lamp” — A Model for Social Transformation
The delegation elaborated on this pioneering program:
In 260 villages of Mandi Bahauddin district, local welfare societies are being established and strengthened through the combined support of overseas Pakistanis, landowners, and generous local benefactors.
By channeling Zakat and Ushr into an organized framework, this model can become a powerful driver of progress, not only in Mandi Bahauddin but across other districts as well.
A Meeting with a Message
This meeting sends a clear signal: the challenges faced by the Pakistani community abroad can indeed be solved — and their future can be made brighter. With collective resolve, visionary leadership, and coordinated effort, this is not a distant dream but an achievable reality.
